Simple ME script for RMVXA Empty

Hello everyone!

While working on my world map menu (all evented finally, yay) I hit a pretty big snag that could be solved with some scripting knowledge. I am playing one of a few different ME ogg files that will randomly cycle when the player reaches the travel map, but I don't want the song to loop. That means I can't use a BGS or BGM to get my idea across.

I want the song to only play once, but there's no event commands for stopping or fading out MEs...and thus my problem.

I desire a script that will let MEs fade out or be stopped abruptly. Both or just one will do. The ME needs to stop when the player transitions maps or else it'll be a bit silly having to hear about 20 more seconds of a ME before the map's music plays.

So to sum it all up: I want a script that will allow me to put in an event command to stop a ME, or just the scriptlet to stop a ME from an event. Either way I will love you forever. I kinda don't want to make accounts to the other Rpg Maker sites until my demo's been out for a bit here, and it'd be kinda rude for my first post to ask for scripting help.

If anyone tries to help me, thanks in advance.

i could be missing something, but do a script call in the event you use to change maps with this inside it:

RPG::ME.stop

let me know if that doesnt work, though it may take a few days to respond. i dont check here every day, but ill try to remember to keep watch

It DOES work.

Thanks Kalez! I guess since I put a $ before it last time that the code didn't work before I posted this.
It stops it abruptly which is what I decided I wanted anyway, since turning off a radio doesn't fade it out unless you're the weird type of person who slowly turns it down.
