Mapping basics 1WelcomeHi there and welcome at Mapping Basics part 2.
I assume that you, by know, know the basics on how to create a map? If you don't, go back to
Mapping basics 1!
For today, I'll show you how to make maps according to Seasons!
It's not too difficult but it's a very good exercise.
Here's what you need to set up:
1 Basic map (create your background) then copy it 3 times.
Now name them Spring, Summer, Autumn/Fall and Winter.
As for Seasons, most things stay the same... There are just minor changes.
Step1: Tile choosingFind tiles that you think belong in a particular season and start building on of your maps with them.
I chose these to make my spring map:
Step 2: Copy and edit!I handcopied the tiles one by one into the other maps. Just look and click!
There is no other way to do it.
- Spoiler:
Why are the trees and bushes during autumn still green? There is but one simple answer to that. They are are evergreen, coniferous resinous trees and shrubs. The needles don't fall off in autumn, in fact, they stay green the entire year!! Even covered in snow they are still green
Step 3: EventingAfter creating them, you need to event your seasons. Though, that is not something that should be done in Mapping Basics.
I'll add a link to a tutorial on how to do this when one is added!

Homework!Try creating some maps with season changes! Also, show them off if you like
