Well, there was idea i was thinking for a while, got everything set up and all, whole storyline and how would it go but question is, is anyone actually interested in dark character who isnt fighting for justice but for his own reasons, a story full of secrets, betrayal and what not.
Sad ending aswell? Would anyone play something like that?

I would as long it is for the right decision or
the reason alone is strong enough,

Of course, I think there is a moderate fanbase for dark games that is only recently getting addressed. Commercially we are seeing darker, more serious games like Dark Souls and Dragonage series outside of scary horror games that used to be pretty much the only option for something "dark".

Why, the game I am working on deals with issues of morality and what it really means to be human and "good" at the core of their soul. I think if you give the main character enough depth then the player will be hard pressed to just fully accept they have been playing a "bad person" all along given their situation and it will really make them think.

If you couldn't tell, I am an advocate for this kinda stuff, hehe. ^^; I say go for it.

I like the sound of that idea!! I, for one, would most definitely want to play/test this for you!

Dark games, especially dark RPG's, are a good thing seeing as to how many people are out there creating another cliché RPG in which you have to save the princess!!
I say: GO FOR IT!!!

Just to give you a heads on, when you do this, you have to consider into dragging the player into the character even more than in them cliché ones... Tell them everything they need to know about the character, give them inside information on their past and how they came to be 'evil minded', give them the thoughts of the character instead of just the conversation!
