Legend of a Dude [Demo is out!!]

I got VXA a while back, and Ive started a game using it. Backtracking a bit to when I got VX, I made a game called "Legend of a Dude" which was REALLY horrible, but it was my first game EVER. I've been planing on revamping it, but Ive been busy working on other projects that never came to fruition (Like Final Fantasy 14, Fire Fantasy and Devil's Servant). So, with the release of VXAce, I figured now would be a good time to revamp it. I don't have much in terms of screenshots YET, but here's what I DO have.

STORY:
Galen (main character), is from the continent of Stormreach. When his friend Janet calls him over to Lakefront for a quest, he hops a boat and (reluctantly) boats across the ocean to Lakefront. Janet tells Galen that King Asgard wants Janet to collect "The Jewels" but she needs help. These Jewels are said to either plummet the world into darkness, or raise it into an Age of Prosperity, depending on the wielder's wishes. So, Galen and Janet set out to the Kraton Pyramid to collect the first of the 8 Jewels, The Jewel of Earth. From there, they will journey across Lakefront to collect the other 7, meeting friends and foes, new and old along the way.

Good luck with your game! It looks like you've had fun making it, and that's the most important thing, in my opinion. :3

Can't wait to see what those guys look like. Especially "The Dude." Razz

I'm also excited to see how VXA games are different from regular VX; there's probably a lot of game mechanics that are changed, amirite?

Probably not, lady. I did join an ace fan site, but I didn't stick around. I just it to get ace scripts xD

@muffin, there isn't a whole of changes gameplay wise. Mostly just the addition of TP which would be used for physical skills, better organized menus and overall better maps. It's mostly the same in the gameplay aspect

I just test-played it up to where you get Zihark, and it's a pretty fun game so far. I love that the enemies don't take 3+ turns to kill for each battle...it's perfect as is and the boss is a great starting boss.

When I went to the city the town is in, I got everything for 0 gold, so I got like 99 of everything xD

Riiight. I forgot about that bit. The prices are still in the works. I believe most of the "important" things like potions, phoenix feathers and stuff are all priced. I think the only non-priced things are the weapons and armour from Asgard. =/

Sort of an update??

So, Ava has been a little quiet so that's why I'm posting this now instead of later. I've been doing some concept art of some of the villains and here is one that I've finished.

His name is Klaus. I won't tell you anything else (spoilers) but what do you think? I hand drew it first then copied it into Illustrator. I didn't scan in the photo and trace it in Ai, I hand drew it in Ai (which was a PAIN!) Enjoy =D

Its on PI too. Its at the bottom of page 2 of the posts. I have a sprite for Klaus now, but I wanna see if I can edit it so his hat looks better, otherwise I'll take it off =3
